Bath Oil Substitutes
Though bath oils moisturize and soothe the skin while providing unique aromatherapy experiences, they may not suit all people. Bathers may also wish to boost the beneficial powers of a bath by including more skin treatments along with their bath oils. In these cases, there are a number of choices. Milk, cream, honey, oats and rice bran are all reputed to provide skin soothing properties when added to a bath. Various flowers, herbs and salts are another way to provide a bather with a custom-made bathing experience. Alternatively, a body oil can be applied to damp skin directly following a bath; doing so will provide a moisturizing, aromatic experience similar to that of using a bath oil.
